THANK YOU to Those Who Have Donated!!! As I have received contributions for the annual BBI donation campaign, I have attempted to send thank-you e-mails to those who have given. In some instances, I have not been able to do either because I am receiving e-mail delivery error messages or, in the case of donations sent to the P.O. Box, I do not know the person’s e-mail address.

For those who have donated, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your contributions. Also, thank you for the notes of support, advice, and encouragement. Each letter or note is carefully read and appreciated. If you have not received a thank-you e-mail from me, then it is only because I was unable to do so for the reasons mentioned above.

Meanwhile, the contribution campaign does continue. I encourage readers to not wait until the last minute to donate. Remember, the campaign will only run until the beginning of the 2007 NFL season.

Giants Waive Three Players, Including WR Michael Jennings: The Giants have waived/injured WR Michael Jennings (Achilles’ tendon) and DE Charrod Taylor (foot). The team also waived OT Dan Parrish.

The Star-Ledger and The Daily News are reporting that Jennings may be placed on Injured Reserve after he clears waivers. In fact, Jennings is listed on Injured Reserve on the roster page at Giants.com.

Because of these moves, we have updated the Player Cuts, Roster, and Depth Chart sections of the website.

Giants Add Three Players: The Giants were awarded WR Will Buchanon off of waivers from the Oakland Raiders. The team also signed S/KR J.R. Reed and OC Nick Jones.

Because of these moves, we have updated the Roster Analysis (scouting reports on Buchanon, Reed, and Jones), Roster, and Depth Chart sections of the website.

Injury Update – WR Plaxico Burress Returns to Practice: WR Plaxico Burress (ankle) returned to practice yesterday. WR Steve Smith (concussion) also practiced.

“This is probably the best I’m going to feel at this point, so I’m going to go out and give it a push,” Burress said. “It’s going to be sore for a while, it’s going to be something I’m going to have to fight through…I’ve got a lot of hard work ahead of me because I’ve missed going into three weeks.”

“(Smith) was cleared (Tuesday) morning and I wanted to make sure he just kept his head out of practice and he did,” said Coughlin. “But he went right back in there, he just jumped right back in and kept going. It was good to have him out there.”

Missing practice yesterday were TE Jeremy Shockey (sore hamstring), WR Sinorice Moss (ankle), CB Sam Madison (hamstring), S Will Demps (elbow), S Michael Stone (hip), DT Jonas Seawright (concussion), OC Grey Ruegamer (ankle), OC Todd Londot (ankle), LB Gerris Wilkinson (knee), LB Barry Robertson (knee), and LS Ryan Kuehl (calf).

Madison said his hamstring pull is not as severe as the one that cost him four games last year, but he said he is not sure when he will return.

Regarding Shockey, Coughlin said, “I don’t have an exact time or anything (when he will return). I am not sure. Hopefully as soon as possible.”

“(Sinorice) Moss has got the ankle sprain and I was hoping today, but now they are saying Thursday, maybe and not until then,” said Coughlin.
