Michael Strahan Decision Coming Today: The Giants have until 4:00PM today to decide whether or not they will activate DE Michael Strahan for the game against the Cowboys tomorrow night. The Giants received a two-week roster exemption from the NFL earlier this week. If the Giants activate Strahan, another player will have to be cut or placed on Injured Reserve.

“I have seen him move and I have seen do some things, but it is also in the back of your mind the idea that there really hasn’t been much contact for him,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “I want to make sure he is ready to play.”

Injury Update: Not practicing yesterday were WR David Tyree (wrist), FB Robert Douglas (knee), and LB Gerris Wilkinson (knee). All three will not play against Dallas tomorrow night.

Continuing to practice were CB Sam Madison (hamstring), LB Kawika Mitchell (groin), CB Kevin Dockery (hamstring), DE Adrian Awasom (hip), OC Grey Ruegamer (ankle), and LT Guy Whimper. Mitchell and Dockery are no longer appearing on the injury report. Madison, Ruegamer, Awasom, and Whimper are listed as “probable.”

Madison appears to be a game-time decision. “He has practiced,” said Coughlin. “We continue to check with him in the morning and after practice and he has done whatever we have asked him to do. It is just going to be a question of whether or not we feel like it has been enough.”
