Giants Add Tight End to Practice Squad: The Giants have signed TE Jonny Harline to the Practice Squad. Harline was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Indianapolis Colts after the 2007 NFL Draft. The Colts waived him in early September before the season started. Harline then spent much of this season on the Practice Squad of the Browns, but Cleveland waived him on December 12th.
Because of this move, we have updated the Roster and Roster Analysis sections of the website.
Injury Report – Good News on Shockey: According to The Star-Ledger, the ankle injury suffered by TE Jeremy Shockey (when he also fractured his fibula) is believed to be not serious and should not linger into next season.
Not practicing yesterday were DE Justin Tuck (neck), CB Kevin Dockery (hip flexor), WR Plaxico Burress (ankle), WR Sinorice Moss (back), RT and Kareem McKenzie (illness).
"(McKenzie) has a sore throat and a temperature, so they feel it is better that he doesn’t practice," said Head Coach Tom Coughlin.
"I think (Dockery) will be okay," said Coughlin. "He was scheduled to not go and that will probably be the way it is. If he does, it will be just a little bit, but I think he will make good progress."
S Gibril Wilson (knee) and S James Butler (hamstring) were limited in practice.
HB Brandon Jacobs (hamstring) practiced fully. "I think (Brandon’s hamstring) is the same. He is going to practice and we will limit some of the things that he does, but it is the same injury."
