Giants OTA Report: For the first time this offseason, the press was granted access to a Giants’ Organized Team Activity (OTA) practice yesterday. This was the third of six OTA practices the Giants will hold. The Giants will hold two more OTAs this week and one next Monday. There will be a full-squad mandatory mini-camp on June 11-13.
OTAs are non-mandatory. The following players were not in attendance yesterday: DE Michael Strahan, DE Osi Umenyiora, LB Antonio Pierce, WR Plaxico Burress, and TE Jeremy Shockey. Umenyiora was present for at least one earlier OTA last week. Pierce recently got married. Burress and Shockey are both recovering from injuries suffered during last season. Newsday is reporting that one unidentified source says Shockey will attend the mini-camp.

Injury Report: WR David Tyree (offseason knee surgery) and QB Andre’ Woodson (quad) did not practice. TE Michael Matthews (shoulder) was limited. Woodson said he expects to return to practice next week.
"Rehab," said Tyree. "Really, it is all strengthening the muscles and all that good stuff again, making sure the swelling has gone down, and all the atrophy is gone. It is just normal rehab."
LB Mathias Kiwanuka (leg/ankle) and HB Derrick Ward (leg) both practiced.
"It feels real good to just be back out there, back in the flow, and getting after it again," said Kiwanuka. "Just walking out there on the field, putting a helmet on - it took so long and it has been so long since I have been out there and the next step is putting the pads on and getting to hit somebody. I am looking forward to all of it."
