Giants Working on New Deal for Manning?

Giants Working on New Deal for Manning?: The Bergen Record is reporting that there is a rumor circulating that the Giants and QB Eli Manning’s agent are working on a contract extension that could be finalized before the 2008 NFL season is over. The deal supposedly will pass the 7-year, $99.2 million contract his brother signed with the Colts in 2004. Eli’s current contract is set to expire after the 2009 NFL season.

Roster Moves: The Giants formally lifted the suspension on WR Plaxico Burress yesterday, which once again makes him count against the 53-man roster limit.

To make room for Burress, the Giants waived WR Taye Biddle.  The Giants also terminated the contract of WR John Broussard, who was on the Practice Squad.  Biddle will likely be signed to the Practice Squad shortly if another team does not pick him up.
