Giants in Trade Talks with Chiefs for TE Tony Gonzalez?: According to The Kansas City Star, the New York Giants are one of three teams that are talking with the Kansas City Chiefs about possibly acquiring All-Pro/Pro Bowl TE Tony Gonzalez.  Gonzalez has requested a trade and the NFL trade deadline for the 2008 season is at 4:00PM on Tuesday.

The paper says the Packers and Bills are also interested, but the Giants are said to be the most serious.  However, the paper also says the Giants and Chiefs are far apart on compensation with the Giants offering a 6th round draft pick and the Chiefs wanting a 3rd round pick.

Injury Report: LB Antonio Pierce (quadricep) returned to practice on a limited basis yesterday.
