Report – New York Giants Trade for Braylon Edwards Unlikely: The Daily News is reporting that the Giants are unlikely to acquire WR Braylon Edwards of the Cleveland Browns by trade. An unidentified source has told the paper that the Browns are seeking the Giants’ 1st and 3rd round picks in this weekend’s NFL Draft. The Giants are apparently offering their 2nd and 5th round picks. So unless one side blinks, there will be no trade.

A report on ESPN yesterday said the Browns were seeking the Giants’ 1st round pick and DE Mathias Kiwanuka.

The Daily News report also says the Giants are alos not expected to attempt to trade for WR Anquan Boldin of the Arizona Cardinals.

Giants Interested in Moving Up in the Draft? According to The Daily News‘ Giants Blog, several unidentified team sources have said the Giants are interested in moving up in the 1st round of the Draft.

Giants Claim Offensive Tackle Off of Waivers: The Giants claimed OT Andrew Carnahan off of waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday. Carnahan was originally drafted in the 7th round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He spent that season and part of 2008 on the Jaguars’ Practice Squad. The Chiefs signed him to their 53-man roster in October 2008.
