New York Giants Rookie Mini-Camp Begins Tomorrow: The Giants’ three-day day rookie mini-camp begins tomorrow and will finish on Sunday.

Four practices will be open to the press, but not the public:

• Two practices on Friday (10:05-11:45AM and 3:05-4:40PM)
• Two practices on Saturday (10:05-11:45AM and 3:05-4:40PM)

Head Coach Tom Coughlin, the offensive and defensive coordinators, and many of the players will be available to the press on both days as well.

Giants Agree to Terms with OT Matt McCants: According to The Daily News, the Giants have agreed to terms with OT Matt McCants, their 6th round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. The contract is reportedly a 4-year deal. McCants is expected to sign the contract today in advance of the Giants’ three-day rookie mini-camp that opens on Friday.

McCants is the second Giants’ draft pick to agree to terms, joining 4th round TE Adrien Robinson.

Chad Jones Not Cleared to Practice: According to The Star-Ledger and New York Post, safety Chad Jones has not been cleared to practice during the upcoming rookie mini-camp on May 11-13. Jones would have been eligible to participate in the camp because he has no accrued NFL seasons.

The New York Post is reporting that the Giants are not planning for Jones to be able to play in 2012.

Jersey Numbers for Draft Picks Issued: The jersey numbers for the Giants’ seven draft picks have been assigned. See the Roster section of the website for details. Please keep in mind that these numbers could change once cuts are made in August and September.
