October 19, 2012 New York Giants Injury Report: Not practicing yesterday were HB Ahmad Bradshaw (foot), HB Da’Rel Scott (knee), DT Rocky Bernard (quadriceps), LB Jacquian Williams (knee), and S Kenny Phillips (knee). Bradshaw is “questionable” for the game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday. Scott, Bernard, Williams, and Phillips have been ruled out and will not play.
“No (setback with Bradshaw), he worked yesterday,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “He was a little sore today. We’re trying to get him to a point, game day, where he’s healthy.”
When asked if Bernard’s injury was a long-term issue, Coughlin responded, “I don’t think so. It’s just a continuous process of trying to get healthy again after his issue.”
WR Hakeem Nicks (foot/knee) and LB Michael Boley (hip) practiced on a limited basis. Nicks is “probable” for the game and Boley is “questionable.”
“(Nicks has) fought through everything,” said Coughlin. “Everyday he comes back out and he tells me he feels good about it and so he gets probably half the reps. So he’s excited and anxious and hopefully it will be consistent; physically, there will be no setbacks.”
HB Andre Brown (concussion) and CB Corey Webster (hand/hamstring) fully practiced. Both are “probable” for the game on Sunday.
DT Chris Canty (knee), who is on the Physically-Unable-to-Perform (PUP) List, also continues to practice. If the Giants want him to play against the Redskins tomorrow, they will have to activate him from the PUP by 4:00PM today.
“(Canty is) in outstanding shape, condition wise,” said Coughlin. “He hasn’t been hit, obviously, but we’ll come up with the right formula…We’ll see (if he is activated).”
