New York Giants 2013 NFL Draft Position Set: The Giants will have the 19th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, which will be held April 25-27.

Jets and Panthers Interested in Marc Ross: According to press reports, the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers will interview Giants’ Director of College Scouting Marc Ross for their general manager vacancies.

Osi Umenyiora Likely to Depart: DE Osi Umenyiora made it clear yesterday that his days as a New York Giant are likely at an end. Umenyiora is set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

“I feel fortunate to be able to play 10 years in New York,” said Umenyiora. “It was a great run. I think now is probably time to move on…There’s really not much left for me to accomplish here in New York. Look at things that have been done here, what is there that is to be done that I haven’t done? We won a championship twice. I think I’ve been a Pro Bowl player. Everything has pretty much gone better than I could have imagined in New York. So if there is a time to leave, it probably would be now but there is no telling what would happen.”

“I’ve earned the right to be a free agent,” Umenyiora said. “It’s been 10 years. I signed a seven-year deal and they made me play out all seven of those years. If they (the Giants) wanted me back, I think something would have been done before now.”

Injury Update: According to The Daily News, OG Chris Snee played through a torn hip labrum and painful bone spurs in his hip. It has not been decided yet whether or not he will have surgery.

Also according to The Daily News, WR Hakeem Nicks played with an undisclosed tear in his left knee that he suffered in Week 2. Doctors originally advised that Nicks rest the knee for 6-8 weeks but Nicks continued to play on it after only missing the next three games. Nicks isn’t sure yet if he will need surgery on the knee.
