Kiwanuka Re-Structures Contract: According to The Star-Ledger, DE/OLB Mathias Kiwanuka has agreed to a contract re-structuring only one year after he signed a new three-year deal. Kiwanuka does not lose any money but $1.5 million of his 2013 base salary will now be converted to a signing bonus. This will lower his overall cap value in 2013 by $1 million to $4.125 million. The move will increase his cap value in 2014 and 2015 however.
The New York Post is reporting that the Giants are believed to be about $6 million under the 2013 salary cap.
