New York Giants Meeting with DT Cullen Jenkins Today: According to media reports, the Giants will meet with DT Cullen Jenkins today. The 32-year old Jenkins was recently cut by the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2012, Jenkins started all 16 games and accrued 26 tackles, four sacks, and one forced fumble.

Martellus Bennett Believes He is Not a Priority for Giants: TE Martellus Bennett, who will soon be an unrestricted free agent, has made a number of tweets in recent days suggesting that the Giants are not making much of an effort to re-sign him.

“Not feeling the love,’’ Bennett tweeted. “They have other priorities that come before little ole me. I’m just a small piece of what they’re trying to do there. I’ve come to the conclusion that we are just temporary investments to the owners. Value money and growth over players. Just like any business. Employees aren’t as valuable as we use to be. Everyone needs a job. Lol.”

The Daily News is reporting that the Giants would like to re-sign Bennett, but believe he will seek more money than the team is willing to pay.

Kenny Phillips Likely to Hit Open Market: According to The New York Post, the Giants have expressed interest in re-signing soon-to-be unrestricted free agent S Kenny Phillips. However, an unidentified source told the paper that the team’s offer will not prevent Phillips from testing the open market on March 12.

Ramses Barden Likely Moving On: WR Ramses Barden, who will soon be an unrestricted free agent, said yesterday that his days with the Giants are probably coming to a close. In four seasons with the Giants, Barden has only caught 29 passes for 394 yards.

“I had a great experience with the Giants, and had I had more opportunities to seize, I would’ve seized them,” said Barden on SiriusXM. “And I’m confident in that. I’m really seriously kind of excited for the offseason, because as much fun as I’ve had in New York – and yeah, I’m comfortable there – it’s probably best for me to start looking other places for a new system, for a refreshed sense of welcoming. I think everybody can benefit from newness in their lives. This is going to be one of those for me.”
