New York Giants Sign S Ryan Mundy: The Giants officially announced yesterday that they have signed unrestricted free agent S Ryan Mundy (Pittsburgh Steelers). Terms of the contract are not yet known.
Aaron Ross Officially Back: CB Aaron Ross has officially signed with the New York Giants after being released by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
“It’s great to be back,” said Ross. “Words can’t explain. I’m very excited to be back here. From the very start, I talked to Mr. (Jerry) Reese when I signed with the Jags. I told him I had a three-year contract and as soon as it’s over, I’ll be ready to come back home. That three-year contract ended a little earlier than I thought, and he made the call and I was more than excited to come back here. It’s home. I was here for five years, this is where my career started, two Super Bowl rings. All my brothers are here, all the coaches are here. It just felt like home. I was ready to come back home.”

Diehl’s Cap Number to Be Reduced: According to The Bergen Record and The New York Post, the Giants and OT David Diehl are working to have his 2013 salary cap number to be reduced. It’s not clear whether Diehl is going to be re-structured or take a pay cut. Diehl is currently scheduled to make $4.475 million in salary in 2013 and count $6.9 million against the cap.
