Third New York Giants OTA Today: The Giants will hold three more Organized Team Activity (OTA) practices this week, including today, tomorrow, and Friday. Thursday’s OTA will be open to the media.

OTA practices are voluntary but participation is encouraged. The Giants are currently in the final phase of their offseason workout program. During this final phase, no live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permissible.

Hakeem Nicks Not Pressing for a New Contract Now: NFL.com is reporting that WR Hakeem Nicks, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2013 season, is in no hurry to negotiate a new contract with the Giants. According to NFL.com, Nicks is prepared to wait until the Giants come to him with a contract proposal, even if that happens after the upcoming season. That would probably make more sense from Nicks’ perspective since he is coming off of an injury-plagued, subpar season.

Injury Update on Chris Snee: OG Chris Snee, who had offseason hip surgery, says he will not practice until training camp, which begins in late July. “I feel great,” Snee said. “The hip feels good. I am moving the sled a little bit and working out, but I am not going to participate in practices this spring. August is the most important time to be back and that is the goal.”
