ESPN – New Long-Term Deal for Victor Cruz Before Camp Starts: ESPN is reporting that according to Giants’ and NFL sources, WR Victor Cruz and the Giants will agree to a new long-term deal before training camp begins on July 26 (first practice is on July 27).
ESPN says the contract parameters have been agreed upon with contract language needing to be finalized. Sources told ESPN that no remaining obstacles are expected.
Cruz also tweeted last night: “Good things come to those who wait.”
As a restricted free agent, Cruz signed his 1-year, $2.879 million tender in June.
