Charles Brown Visits Giants But Leaves Without Contract: According to NJ.com, unrestricted free agent offensive tackle Charles Brown (New Orleans Saints) visited the New York Giants on Wednesday and Thursday but left without a contract. The 26-year old Brown, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2010 NFL Draft, started 14 games at left tackle for the Saints in 2013 before being benched.
Jersey Numbers for New Players: According to the roster page on Giants.com, the following numbers have been assigned to the newly-signed players:
- RB Rashad Jennings (23)
- WR Mario Manningham (86)
- WR Trindon Holliday (15)
- OG Geoff Schwartz (74)
- LB Jameel McClain (53)
- CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (21)
- CB Walter Thurmond (24), Jennings (23)
- S Quintin Demps (35)
On the surface, this seems to suggest that unrestricted free agents TE Bear Pascoe (86), RB Andre Brown (35), CB Terrell Thomas (23) will not be back. Also keep in mind that jersey numbers are subject to change, especially during the final cut-down period.
