NEW YORK GIANTS SIGNING RUNNING BACK BOBBY RAINEY…
According to the player himself, the New York Giants are signing unrestricted free agent running back Bobby Rainey (Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

The 28-year old, 5’8”, 212-pound Rainey was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Baltimore Ravens after the 2012 NFL Draft. He has spent time with the Ravens (2012), Cleveland Browns (2013), and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2013-2015). In his four NFL seasons, Rainey has played in 46 regular-season games with 11 starts. He has has 249 career rushing attempts for 990 yards (4.0 yards per carry) and six touchdowns. Rainey has also caught 51 passes for 377 yards and two touchdowns. In 2015 with the Buccaneers, his primary role was on special teams returning both kickoffs (24.7 yards per return) and punts (9.9 yards per return).

Rainey lacks size, but he is a well-built runner with good instincts, balance, and quickness. He lacks power and has had issues with ball security with 12 career fumbles. Rainey catches the ball well.
