Three more New York Giants have tested positive for COVID-19 and have been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. The players are offensive tackle Matt Peart, wide receiver Dante Pettis, and tight end Kaden Smith.

Place kicker Graham Gano tested positive for the disease and was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 List on Tuesday. The Giants also placed punter Riley Dixon and long snapper Casey Kreiter on the reserve list on Wednesday, although it is not clear if those two players tested positive or were merely being quarantined as a precaution due to their proximity to Gano.

The Giants are currently on their bye week and will not play again until November 29th when they play the Bengals in Cincinnati. It is not known at this time if any of these players will be available to play in that game.

GIANTS CLAIM DANTE PETTIS OFF OF WAIVERS, PLACE ADRIAN COLBERT ON IR…
The New York Giants have claimed wide receiver Dante Pettis off of waivers from the San Francisco 49ers. The 25-year old, 6’1”, 195-pound Pettis was originally drafted in the 2nd round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the 49ers. He has played in 28 regular-season games, with 12 starts, catching 38 passes for 576 yards and seven touchdowns. Pettis also has experience returning kickoffs and punts.

The Giants also have placed safety Adrian Colbert on Injured Reserve with a shoulder injury. He has missed the last three games with the shoulder issue and also missed two games with a quad injury. Colbert has started two games this year for the Giants. He will be eligible to return after missing at three games.

The Giants claimed Colbert off of waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs in early September 2020. The 6’2”, 205-pound Colbert was originally drafted in the 7th round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. Colbert has spent time with the 49ers (2017-2019), Seattle Seahawks (2019), Miami Dolphins (2019), and Chiefs (2020).
