New York Giants Express Interest in Kam Chancellor: According to multiple press reports, the New York Giants have talked to the Seattle Seahawks about a potential trade for strong safety Kam Chancellor, who is currently holding out due to a contract dispute. Chancellor is unhappy with the 4-year, $28 million contract he signed in 2013 and missed all of Seattle’s summer training camp and preseason.

The 27-year old Chancellor is a three-time Pro Bowler (2011, 2013-14) and two time-second team All Pro (2013-14). Chancellor is a huge (6’3”, 232 pounds), physical safety who plays the run and hits like an extra linebacker. He is not as good in coverage with eight interceptions and 30 pass defenses in his five regular seasons in the NFL. Chancellor was originally drafted in the 5th round of the 2010 NFL Draft by Seattle.

NFL.com is reporting that the Seahawks are not currently interested in trading Chancellor.
