Stacy Robinson Passes Away: Former Giants’ wide receiver Stacy Robinson has passed away yesterday after a long fight with cancer. Robinson was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1985 NFL Draft by the Giants and played with the team from 1985-1990. Robinson was 50 years old.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Stacy Robinson,” said Giants’ CEO and President John Mara. “He was a good man who was loved and respected by his teammates and everyone in this organization. His work on behalf of the Players Association was of great benefit to many players. He will be missed. His family is in our thoughts and prayers.”

Giants Agree to Terms with TE Adrien Robinson: According to press reports, the Giants have agreed to terms with TE Adrien Robinson, their 4th round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. The contract is reportedly a 4-year, $2.48 million deal. Robinson is expected to sign the contract when the Giants’ three-day rookie mini-camp opens on Friday.

OG D’Angelo McCray Not Signed: Immediately after the 2012 NFL Draft, various press and internet sources had reported that the Giants had signed undrafted rookie free agent OG D’Angelo McCray (Memphis). However, The Star-Ledger is reporting that McCray has been invited to the Giants’ mini-camp merely on a tryout basis.

According to Giants’ officials, the team has signed 10 undrafted rookies. Two of those mentioned publicly by the Giants are FB Joe Martinek (Rutgers) and S Janzen Jackson (McNeese State). The other eight should be officially revealed later this week. Those believed to have been signed are listed in the Draft Review and Rookie Free Agent Signings section of the website.
