Terrell Thomas Has Third ACL Surgery

September 13, 2012 New York Giants Injury Report – Terrell Thomas Has Third ACL Surgery: DE Adewale Ojomo (hamstring) did not practice yesterday.

WR Hakeem Nicks (foot), CB Prince Amukamara (ankle), CB Michael Coe (hamstring), LB Keith Rivers (hamstring), OC David Baas (hip), and DT Marvin Austin (back) were limited.

HB Da’Rel Scott (knee) and OT James Brewer (back) fully practiced.

Meanwhile, The Star-Ledger is reporting that CB Terrell Thomas, who is on Injured Reserve, had surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) earlier this week. This is the third time in seven years that Thomas has had surgery to repair the ACL in his right knee. Apparently a scope on the knee did reveal a partial tear to the ACL. The injury and surgery make it doubtful that the Giants will pick up the $6 million option bonus in March on his current 4-year, $28 million deal.
