October 4, 2012 New York Giants Injury Report – Nicks Already Ruled Out: Not practicing yesterday were WR Hakeem Nicks (foot/knee), WR Ramses Barden (concussion), OG Chris Snee (hip), DT Rocky Bernard (quadriceps), LB Michael Boley (hip), CB Corey Webster (hand/hamstring), CB Jayron Hosley (hamstring), S Antrel Rolle (knee), and S Kenny Phillips (knee).

The Giants have already ruled Nicks out of the game against the Browns on Sunday. “Not so much (swelling in the knee) today, it’s down,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “No (he did not re-injure the foot), not that I can tell you, no.”

When asked if rest will help Nicks, Coughlin responded, “Yeah, that’s the idea.”

It was revealed yesterday that Webster also now has a hamstring injury.

“We originally thought that (Webster) would be able to practice and run today, but then the doctors felt like he may want to wait another day,” said Coughlin. “He has a hamstring. His hamstring, the one that’s been reoccurring last year as well, he’s sore there as well, and he does have the hand…I don’t know (if he will play on Sunday), I hope so.”

In addition, Hosley and Rolle missed practice a day after practicing on a limited basis.

“They’re trying to control (Rolle), the swelling inside,” said Coughlin. “We’re hoping and feeling (he will play on Sunday).”

“There’s no change (on Barden),” said Coughlin.

OT David Diehl (knee) and LB Keith Rivers (hamstring) were limited in practice.

“(Rivers is) kind of feeling his way back,” said Coughlin.

OC David Baas (hand) and CB Michael Coe (hamstring) fully practiced.
