New York Giants Sign PK Josh Brown: The Giants announced yesterday that they signed unrestricted free agent PK Josh Brown (Cincinnati Bengals). The deal is reportedly a 1-year contract. The 33-year old Brown has played for three teams in 10 years in the NFL, mostly with the Seahawks and Rams.

“Josh is an experienced, proven kicker in this league,” said General Manager Jerry Reese. “Just like we try to do at every position, we expect great competition for the placekicking job, and that will only make us better.”

PK Lawrence Tynes is an unrestricted free agent. The signing of Brown likely signals the Giants believe Tynes is moving on to a new team or the team has decided to move in a new direction. The Giants also have kickers David Buehler and Jake Rogers currently on the roster.
