New York Giants unrestricted free agent cornerback Walter Thurmond has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. The contract is reportedly a 1-year deal.
The Giants signed Thurmond as an unrestricted free agent in March 2014. Penciled in as the team’s nickel or #3 corner, Thurmond was placed on Injured Reserve in September 2014 with a torn pectoral muscle that required surgery after playing in only two games. Thurmond was originally drafted in the 4th round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Seahawks. He missed much of the 2011 and 2012 seasons recovering from a broken leg (fibula), playing in only eight regular-season games. In November 2013, he was suspended four games for violating the NFL’s drug policy.

Eagles reached agreement with former Giants and Seahawks CB Walter Thurmond, per source. Thurmond now teams up again with Byron Maxwell.
