Safety C.C. Brown to Visit Giants Today: According to FOXSports.com, unrestricted free agent safety C.C. Brown (Houston Texans) is scheduled to visit the Giants today. The Daily News and The Star-Ledger have confirmed the visit. The 26-year old Brown started 44 games from 2005-2007 but missed most of the 2008 season with a fracture forearm.

HB Derrick Ward Signs With Tampa Bay: NFL.com is reporting that unrestricted free agent HB Derrick Ward (New York Giants) has agreed to terms with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The contract is reportedly a 4-year, $17 million deal.

Latest on Safety James Butler: According to press reports, unrestricted free agent safety James Butler (New York Giants) is mulling a contract offer from the St. Louis Rams. The Cleveland Browns are also said to be interested in Butler, though he has visited that team yet. The Star-Ledger is reporting that the Giants have not been in contact with Butler’s agent.
