Eagles Traded Up for Maclin Before Giants Could Nab Him?: According to The Star-Ledger, the Giants had worked out the parameters of a trade with the Detroit Lions last Saturday during the 2009 NFL Draft so they could move up to the #20 spot in the 1st round in order to selected WR Jeremy Maclin (Missouri). But the Eagles beat the Giants to the punch by trading up to the #19 spot with the Browns to select Maclin first.
Giants Claim Colts Cornerback: The Giants claimed CB Brandon Sumrall off of waivers yesterday from the Indianapolis Colts. Because of this move, we have updated the Transactions, Roster Analysis (with scouting report on Sumrall), Roster, and Depth Chart sections of the website.
