New York Giants Hold Sixth OTA Practice: The Giants held their sixth Organized Team Activity (OTA) practice yesterday at the Timex Performance Center. The final OTAs will be held today, Thursday, and Friday. For an overview of yesterday’s practice, see the following report:

June 4, 2012 New York Giants Injury Report: S Tyler Sash injured appeared to pull his hamstring at yesterday’s Organized Team Activity (OTA) workout. According to press reports, he was seen limping pretty badly in the clubhouse.

LT Will Beatty (back) is still not practicing at the OTA workouts. “He has a bad back,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “That has kind of slowed him down. He is improving every day. I don’t know that he will make the mini-camp (next week). But he is making good progress…I hope (it’s not an ongoing issue), but it is always a concern. Anybody that has had a bad back realizes that if you get yourself in trouble it is very difficult to get out of trouble in a short amount of time. It is painful. But he has worked well at it. He is in every meeting. And I’m encouraged by that. He is not uncomfortable sitting in his meeting room chair. So he is making good progress.”

Coughlin was also asked about CB Prince Amukamara (foot). “Prince is cleared to do individuals,” said Coughlin. “So that is a real good sign.”

DT Shaun Rogers has been bothered by an unspecified elbow injury. “He is here and working,” said Coughlin. “He has had some issues with an elbow. So we have held him out of that. But he is here. He is in the classroom.”

Notes and Quotes: German-born DT Markus Kuhn has not been practicing at the Organized Team Activity (OTA) workouts because he does not yet have a work visa.

Head Coach Tom Coughlin on who has impressed at the OTA workouts: “I think there are four or five guys that have flashed that would give you some real good thoughts about how they performed out here. For example, I thought Michael Coe had a couple of outstanding plays – a real good interception the other day. Ramses Barden has had good flash plays out here. Adrian Tracy has done the same. Those would be the guys. A lot of the rookies have – upon opportunity – maybe a flash here and a flash there. David Wilson, with his conditioning and his quickness and speed, has been there. I’m encouraged by more and more guys that have had issues in the past – like Ahmad (Bradshaw) – he has practiced a couple of days. We have him restricted but he will take the first couple or three plays of a practice and go. And he actually looks good and he appears to be pretty comfortable.”
