NEW YORK GIANTS INJURY REPORT…
Tight end Evan Engram (knee) and linebacker Olivier Vernon (ankle) did not practice on Friday and both have been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

“(Vernon) had a really good week, he was close, but not quite close enough,” said Head Coach Pat Shurmur after practice. “So we backed off just a little bit today to give him some rest. I think you probably saw that he wasn’t out there with a helmet on, so that’s really what happened. Best week, no setbacks, just we felt like here at the end of the week because he did so much more and he was involved in team activity, just give him a little rest moving forward.”

Wide receiver Sterling Shepard (back), wide receiver Cody Latimer (knee), nose tackle Damon Harrison (knee), linebacker Connor Barwin (knee), cornerback Eli Apple (groin), and cornerback Antonio Hamilton (groin) fully practiced. All six are expected to be able to play on Sunday.

THE COACHES SPEAK…
