October 3, 2006 New York Giants Injury Report: Not practicing yesterday were LB Carlos Emmons (pectoral muscle), S James Butler (knee), WR Sinorice Moss (quad), and HB Derrick Ward (foot). Emmons would not rule himself out for the game this weekend, but Head Coach Tom Coughlin indicated that it would be unlikely for Emmons to play. Ward said he is almost ready to return to practice, possibly as early as next week.
WR Plaxico Burress (back), TE Jeremy Shockey (ankle), and WR Tim Carter (ankle) practiced. “They seemed to do okay,” Coughlin said. “We’ll see how they are tomorrow, but they all practiced and took plenty of snaps.”
