November 30, 2006 New York Giants Injury Report: DE Michael Strahan (foot) sat out both individuals and the team portion of practice yesterday, a day after he participated in individual drills and 9-on-7 run defense drills. He remains officially “doubtful” for the game against the Cowboys on Sunday. “No, he didn’t come out today,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “He’s sore, so he stayed inside and worked on the rehab part of it…It’s not a setback. This was the week that actually he was going to get involved doing things. He tried it yesterday and that’s about where it is. He has more time to go.”

“Strahan’s a tough guy, I know he’s played with a lot of injuries, but I don’t want that guy to go out there and blow his whole gun for one game and we’re done for the season without him,” said MLB Antonio Pierce. “We want him toward the end of the season. You want to play your best ball in the month of December.”

It is also looking unlikely that CB Corey Webster (turf toe – questionable) will play against Dallas. “He didn’t work today,” said Coughlin. “It doesn’t seem like (he will play).”

LT Luke Petitgout (fractured fibula) did not practice and will not play.

Continuing to practice were DE Osi Umenyiora (hip flexor – questionable), LB Brandon Short (quad – questionable), and CB Sam Madison (hamstring – questionable). “They practiced well today,” said Coughlin. “Two days in a row. I felt good about that. I felt good about that.”

Also practicing were MLB Antonio Pierce (knee – probable), LB Carlos Emmons (groin – questionable), SS Gibril Wilson (shoulder – questionable), and WR Sinorice Moss (quad – questionable).

Notes and Quotes: Following up on one of yesterday’s “Notes and Quotes”, it definitely sounds like P Jeff Feagles would like to return in 2007. “I’m taking it one season at a time and I’m just hoping to make it through this season feeling good and healthy,” said Feagles. “Now that my family is here there’s definitely an opportunity to come back again. It’s just a matter of whether or not the Giants want me.”
