New York Giants Nearing Deal With CB Aaron Ross; S Michael Johnson Signs: The New York Post is reporting that General Manager Jerry Reese and Assistant General Manager Kevin Abrams will meet with the agent for CB Aaron Ross at the Meadowlands today and both sides are expected to agree to a deal. Ross was the Giants’ first pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.

The Post also speculates that a deal with second-rounder WR Steve Smith should be imminent. “I don’t expect those guys to be out of camp,” said Reese yesterday.

Since The Post is also reporting that six of the Giants’ eight 2007 picks have signed, S Michael Johnson (7th round) must have agreed to terms. Other than Ross and Smith, he was the only remaining unsigned draft pick based on previous press reports.
