December 9, 2010 New York Giants Injury Report – Only One Giant Not Practicing: The only player not practicing yesterday was OL Shawn Andrews (back).

“(Andrews) is not ready yet but he is better – he is getting better,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin.

“I have no doubts. I will play again this season,” said Andrews. “Because I said so, because I’m working my butt off. I just know what my spirit tells me. I don’t want to become a nuisance. I try to do what I can do to help the team when I’m out there on the field and to be productive. I don’t’ want to keep going back and forth and have them wonder if they can depend on me. Hopefully, this is one of the last little breakdowns.”

Practicing on a limited basis yesterday were WR Steve Smith (pectoral), WR Hakeem Nicks (leg), OC Shaun O’Hara (foot), DE Osi Umenyiora (knee), and CB Brian Jackson (hand).

“No setbacks (for Smith and Nicks),” said Coughlin. “We are calling them limited, but they are working their way back…They are on track.”

“I think (Nicks) is (ahead of schedule),” said Coughlin. “He wants to play. So he is doing everything that he can to get out there…The doctor said that he could go ahead and resume duty.”

According to press reports, O’Hara says he is more likely to play next week against the Eagles.

HB Ahmad Bradshaw (wrist), OL David Diehl (hamstring/hip), and CB/Returner Will Blackmon (chest) fully practiced.

“(Bradshaw) is fine,” said Coughlin. “He has a sore wrist, but he will work his way through that.”
