Mandatory, Full-Team New York Giants Mini-Camp Begins Today: The Giants mandatory, full-team mini-camp begins today and will continue on Wednesday and Thursday. There will be media access on all three days of the mini-camp. Today’s schedule:
- 11:00 AM – 12:00 noon – Media Q&A with players
- 3:25 – 5:05 PM – Practice
- After Practice – Tom Coughlin press conference
A key question will be to see if WR Hakeem Nicks, who skipped all of the the voluntary Organized Team Activity (OTA) practices, attends the mandatory mini-camp practices. Nicks and his agent have to date refused to publicly disclose why Nicks did not participate in the OTAs.
According to ESPN, Nicks did not take his pre-camp physical last night.
“Hopefully he is here tomorrow,” QB Eli Manning said yesterday of Nicks. “I expect him to be there tomorrow, so we’ll see.”
Manning says the missed practice time is needed. “I thought we’d kind of gone backwards last year with some of the techniques and not quite being on the same page and a lot of that had to do with his injuries,” said Manning.
