Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to Visit New York Giants: According to The Star-Ledger, unrestricted free agent cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (Denver Broncos) visited the New York Jets on Saturday but left without a contract. Rodgers-Cromartie will now visit the New York Giants on Sunday.

No Interest in Jim Cordle?: NJ.com is reporting that UFA Jim Cordle (New York Giants) is not expected to re-sign with the team.

Hakeem Nicks Says the Giants Did Not Make an Offer During Free Agency: Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, who signed with the Indianapolis Colts on Friday, said on Saturday: “(The Giants) actually didn’t (make an offer in free agency), but we had already talked prior to that. Still, good relationships there. I’ve got much love for the Giants organization.”

March 3, 2014 New York Giants Free Agency News and Rumors: According to NJ.com, the New York Giants are concentrating their efforts to re-sign linebacker Jon Beason before free agency begins on March 11. NJ.com says efforts to re-sign the Giants other unrestricted free agents “have been put on the back burner.”

NJ.com reports the Giants have not yet made an official offer to soon-to-be unrestricted free agent defensive end Justin Tuck. The website also says the Giants believe soon-to-be unrestricted free agent defensive tackle Linval Joseph “will be too costly to keep” and the chances that soon-to-be unrestricted free agent wide receiver Hakeem Nicks re-signing with the team are “close to zero.”

Reports – New York Giants Will Not Tender Henry Hynoski and Jim Cordle: According to ProFootballTalk, the New York Giants will not tender fullback Henry Hynoski, who is eligible to be tendered as a restricted free agent. The website says the Giants would still like to re-sign Hynoski, but at a lower rate than then restricted free agent tender. If Hynoski is not tendered, he will become an unrestricted free agent on March 11 when free agency begins.

The Star-Ledger is reporting that center Jim Cordle will also not be tendered as a restricted free agent.

However, The New York Daily News is reporting that Wilson’s early return is the optimistic view from Wilson’s side and that while the New York Giants remain “hopeful”, his availability for the 2014 NFL season remains unknown.

Notes: With four games remaining, QB Eli Manning has been sacked a career-high 31 times this season. His previous high was 30 sacks in 2009. Last year, Manning was sacked just 19 times.

The Redskins game was the 24th time in Manning’s career that he rallied his team from a 4th quarter deficit. That places him fifth among active quarterbacks, behind Peyton Manning (50), Tom Brady (34), Drew Brees (31), and Ben Roethlisberger (28).

The Giants have committed an NFL-high 31 turnovers (19 interceptions, 12 lost fumbles). Their opponents have scored 102 points off of those giveaways.

The Giants have had at least one giveaway in each of their 12 games. The last season in which they committed a turnover in every game was 2007.

November 25, 2013 Tom Coughlin Press Conference: The transcript and video of Head Coach Tom Coughlin’s Monday press conference are available at Giants.com.

Injury Report – Pierre-Paul and Cordle Ailing: DE Jason Pierre-Paul did not play well against the Dallas Cowboys and apparently his injured shoulder is giving him problems. Pierre-Paul injured the shoulder three games ago against the Oakland Raiders. “I think there’s no doubt (his injury is) a factor, no doubt,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “He’s been injured and he’s been playing injured, he’s been playing with it.”

Meanwhile, OC Jim Cordle has a partially-torn patellar tendon in his left knee. Further testing will be done on Thursday to determine the extent of the damage. “It’s potentially something I could deal with,” Cordle said. “The doctor is coming in Thursday to re-evaluate it. It really just depends on how it is then, based on how we go forward…It’s not that bad right now, but I guess it depends on who is going to look at it. It’s definitely damaged but probably after the season it would require some attention.”

There was no word on CB Trumaine McBride, who suffered a strained groin in the game on Sunday and was forced to leave the contest in the second half.

November 21, 2013 New York Giants Injury Report – All In: No one missed practice on Thursday.

“All hands on deck today,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “Some limited and some not able to go all the way, but most of them worked pretty good.”

DE Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder), CB Terrell Thomas (knee), CB Trumaine McBride (hip), CB Corey Webster (groin/ankle), RB Brandon Jacobs (knee), FB Jon Conner (hip), and WR Hakeem Nicks (abdomen) practiced on a limited basis.

“(Nicks) did individuals, but that was about it,” said Coughlin. “They say it’s better to explain it as an abdominal, whatever that means.”

“I feel good. I did individuals today a little bit,” said Nicks. “It has just been something all year really, on and off. I was advised by my agent just to get it checked up a bit so that’s all we did. We just wanted to get it checked up and make sure everything was good. I got good feedback and everything was fine…It’s just a little strain.”

“(Pierre-Paul) came out and did some work and was serious about it,” said Coughlin. “He did his individual stuff and then maybe we’ll get him a little bit more tomorrow.”

“I don’t know what to think (about Webster),” said Coughlin. “I’ll rely on the medical people there. He got a little bit of work yesterday and a little bit more today.”

Quotes: New York Giants President and CEO John Mara on the Giants’ season: “We were all disappointed and surprised by the slow start. I am proud of the way this team stuck together. We always want to play meaningful games around and after Thanksgiving, and that’s exactly what we have this Sunday in MetLife Stadium. I’m proud of the way the team has stuck together. That is a tribute to the head coach and the leadership in the locker room. As the players and our head coach have said repeatedly over the last month, we are taking it one game at a time. We’re moving forward and, as our coach has urged the team to do, doing our best to keep the dream alive.”

Defensive Coordinator Perry Fewell on the leaders of the defense: “I think we’ve been able to dial some things up because Jon Beason and Terrell Thomas and Antrel Rolle have really taken control of our defense and they’re the voices of our defense and they’re demanding from their teammates the execution of the things that we’ve game planned each week.”
