Contract Talks with Shaun O’Hara at an Impasse?: The Journal News is reporting that contract negotiations between the Giants and soon-to-be unrestricted free agent OC Shaun O’Hara may have reached an impasse. The paper says O’Hara is believed to be seeking a 6-year, $30 million contract, but the Giants do not want to spend that kind of money on him.

The Giants still have two days to decide whether or not they want to uses its franchise tag on O’Hara, but that would cost them $9 million against the 2007 salary cap.

Free agency begins on March 2.
