Giants’ Beat Writer Practice Reports: The following are brief practice reports provided by the NY/NJ beat writers who cover the Giants.
Injury Report – Goff Out “Indefinitely”: Not practicing yesterday were WR Plaxico Burress (ankle), WR Mario Manningham (quad), WR David Tyree (PUP – knee), TE Eric Butler (ankle), RT Shane Olivea (back), DE Robert Henderson (ankle), DE Wallace Gilberry (ankle), LB Jonathan Goff (back), CB Darren Barnett (ankle), and S Nehemiah Warrick (knee).
Head Coach Tom Coughlin was asked if Burress was progressing. “They think he is,” Coughlin responded. “He is excited about it. I think his running has increased and hopefully we’ll get something done here. I’ve talked to Plax and I’ve showed him our schedule. He knows exactly the time that’s left to prepare ourselves. He agrees that we certainly don’t want to break camp without having him gotten anything done here at all.”
Regarding Goff, Coughlin said, “No decisions have been made there. He’s going to be out indefinitely, but no decision has been made.”
WR Steve Smith (groin) returned to practice.
