BBI Coverage of the NFL Draft: As the picks come in, we will update the 2009 NFL Draft Review section of the website with scouting reports and quotes from team officials. Go Giants!

Report – Contract Demands of Edwards and Boldin Prohibitive: Newsday is reporting that more so than the compensation that the Giants would have to pay the Browns for WR Braylon Edwards and Cardinals for WR Anquan Boldin, it is the contract demands of both those players that are discouraging the Giants from making a deal. Both players are said to be seeking $10 million per year contracts.

Meanwhile, 1050 ESPN Radio reported yesterday that an unidentifed source close to Edwards said the Giants were “out of the running” for Edwards’ services.

Another Report Says Giants Targeting Darrius Heyward-Bey: Like The Daily News yesterday, Newsday is reporting that the Giants are targeting WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (University of Maryland) in the first round.

The Daily News continues to say the Giants will attempt to trade up to select Heyward-Bey.  If not, they will stay at #29 and select WR Hakeem Nicks (University of North Carolina).
