October 15, 2010 New York Giants Injury Report – Tynes Questionable: PK Lawrence Tynes sprained his left (non-kicking) ankle in practice yesterday and is listed as “questionable” for the game. “He evidently sprained his ankle,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. Tynes told The Star-Ledger he was fine and would play however.

Not practicing yesterday were FB Madison Hedgecock (hamstring), WR Victor Cruz (hamstring), OT Will Beatty (foot), DE Mathias Kiwanuka (neck), and CB Brian Jackson (neck). All five players will not play against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

When asked if he had an update on Kiwanuka, Coughlin replied, “No. I don’t know a thing. I really don’t. If I knew, I would tell you. He’s much more active. You see him out here – he was on the field running today, he’s been running inside, he has no pain, there’s nothing about that, so we’re just hoping for the best…There are going to be tests, yeah. Exactly when? I’m not sure.”

HB D.J. Ware (sore groin), OC Shaun O’Hara (ankle), LB Keith Bulluck (toe), and FS Kenny Phillips (knee) practiced on a limited basis. DE Osi Umenyiora (knee) fully practiced.

Ware, O’Hara, and Bulluck are “questionable” for the game; Umenyiora and Phillips are “probable.”

“(O’Hara is) making progress,” said Coughlin. “He is…I’m sure it will be (a) game time (decision with him).”
